On July 20, 1969, the crew of NASA’s Apollo 11 made history by becoming the first manned spaceflight to land on the moon.

Launched on July 16, 1969, the spacecraft carried Commander Neil A. Armstrong, Command Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin.  On July 20, at, 4:18 pm EDT, while the entire world held its breath, the lunar landing craft named Eagle 1 safely touched down.  Several hours later, Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to stand on the moon while Collins orbited above.

To commemorate this great event, Fisher Space Pen Co. has introduced the Apollo 11 Special Edition 50th Anniversary Astronaut Space Pen in Chrome, complemented with fine engravings including the Columbia Command and Service Module, historic dates, & Apollo 11 50th Anniversary text.

A sturdy pen made from solid brass with an extremely hard chrome plating. It has a very positive and substantial feeling click mechanism. You press down on the top to extend the refill and press the side button to retract. Its special design assures you that you will always retract the point before you slide it in your pocket.

Produced in Nevada USA to exacting standards utilising Fisher’s tungsten carbide ballpoint and patented Thixotropic ink in a sealed, pressurised cartridge. Like all Fisher Space Pens, this pen will write in zero-gravity, upside down, underwater, over oil and grease, in -30 to +250 degrees Fahrenheit and three times longer than the average ballpoint pen.
